May 20 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Today, for the second consecutive day in village Kunde, another youth below 18 years of age, Vijay Chitte, took the life of Chitta, whose family and villagers respectfully demanded that action be taken on a large scale to end drug addiction. He also raised many questions on the police regarding selling drugs. It may be noted that in the same village last day also a young man had died of drug overdose. In the last few months, about 8 youths of this village have died due to drug overdose. The villagers told that they are very sad about their children who are drug addicts, because their children have sold everything in the house to buy drugs. When they cannot pay for drugs, they sell household items.
He said that only one bed is left in the house, all the rest of the house’s belongings have been sold. He appealed to the Punjab Government with folded hands to curb drug abuse in Ferozepur and the drug sellers should be controlled and sent to jail.
