April 25 (Punjab Khabarnama) : There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh on Friday and Saturday. Chandigarh Meteorological Center has also issued a warning in this regard. Center director A.K. Singh says that western disturbance will become active from Thursday, whose effect will be visible on Friday also.
Also, hailstorm may occur at many places on Saturday. Apart from this, winds will also blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour. Therefore, a warning has been issued in Punjab and Haryana including Chandigarh. According to the Centre, an increase in temperature may be seen in the coming days. The day temperature rises before any western disturbance becomes active.
Farmers also alerted
In view of the rain, the weather center has alerted the farmers. The Center has said that considering the maturity of Rabi crops (wheat, mustard etc.) and proximity of harvesting, they should be kept in a safe place.
