According to the instructions of the Election Commission of India and the order of the Chief Electoral Officer , Punjab today, the 14th National Voter’s Day was celebrated at Genesis Dental College Moga Road Ferozepur with full enthusiasm under the leadership of District Election Officer Mr. Rajesh Dhiman. The Chief Guest District Election Officer Mr. Rajesh Dhiman was welcomed by the scout and guide troop and a voter awareness selfie point representing the state level Basant Mela was made where all the attendees took selfies.
On this occasion, the District Election Officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Dhiman formally started the program by lighting the lamp and addressing the audience said that every year National Voter’s Day is celebrated on 25th January and people are encouraged to vote and vote. Along with voting, awareness is also given about the importance of voting. He said that this time the theme of the National Voter’s Day has been fixed as ‘ Nothing Like Voting , I Vote for Sure ‘ . He said that voting is our democratic right which is given to us by the constitution and it is very important to vote for the strength of a big democracy like India. Before this, the message of the Chief Electoral Officer Election Commission of India was also heard.
On the occasion of Voter’s Day, voters, especially the youth, were made aware of the importance of voting and voter cards and epic kits were also distributed to the new voters . On this occasion, District Education Officer Senior Secondary S. Chamkaur Singh Saran was awarded the Best Nodal Officer and Mrs. Paramjit Kaur was awarded the Best BLO. Awarded with Apart from this, ERO , AERO , Electoral Tehsildar , Supervisor , BLO , Nodal Officer and students who participated in the sweep activities were also felicitated. On this occasion, Sukhchain Singh, a child of Biliand Home Ferozepur, sang a voter awareness song to create voter awareness.

Speech , poetry singing, rangoli and songs were presented by the students from colleges, Dev Samaj of Education etc. educational institutions .
