28 july 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has congratulated students on their impressive performance in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), stating that the number of qualifiers from the state’s government schools has increased significantly from 80 to 882.
The Chief Minister described the achievement as a major milestone for Punjab’s education system and credited the improvement to reforms introduced by the state government.
Sharp Rise in NEET Qualifiers
According to Bhagwant Mann, the number of students from government schools qualifying for NEET has witnessed a remarkable jump, rising from 80 in previous years to 882.
The increase, he said, reflects the growing quality of education and improved academic support available to students in Punjab’s government schools.

The Punjab government attributed the improved results to initiatives aimed at strengthening school education, enhancing teaching standards and providing better preparation for competitive examinations.
