Full dress rehearsal was done today by the district police and school children for the 75th Republic Day of the country being celebrated on January 26 at ITI Ground Nawanshahr, which Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Dr. Akhil Chowdhury reviewed.
In order to ensure security arrangements on the occasion of the district level Republic Day, DIG immediately after the rehearsal. State Cyber Crime Nilambari Jagdale visited VITI Ground and DC Randhawa and SSP Dr. Also visited with Akhil Chaudhary.
Apart from the district police, students from different schools participated in the parade, PT show and cultural program conducted during the full dress rehearsal. The preparations being made by the students for this national day at the school level for the last several days were shown during the full dress rehearsal. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner praised the presentations of the students and asked them to remove some of the shortcomings by conducting another rehearsal in their respective schools tomorrow.

The Deputy Commissioner said that on January 26, the chief guest will hoist the national flag at ITI ground at 10 am sharp after paying homage to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kala. He appealed to the residents of the district to attend the function with enthusiasm.
SSP Dr. Akhil Chowdhury said that various gates have been kept at ITI to ensure perfect arrangements for the district level event. He said that all security arrangements have been completed for the implementation of the district level event. On this occasion, ADC (J) Rajiv Verma, SDM Dr. Akshita Gupta, Assistant Commissioner General Dr. Gurneel Kaur, ADC (Development) Sagar Setia and other officials of the district were present.
