April 14 (Punjab Khabarnama) : In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer at Rupnagar. Under the direction of Preeti Yadav and SDM-cum-Assistant Election Officer Navdeep Kumar, sweep activities were conducted on Baisakhi festival to sensitize people about voting.
Under these activities, a special campaign was conducted under the sweep activities at Singh Sabha Sahib by Gurdwara Sri Bhatta Sahib and Guru to make people aware about the festival of Baisakhi.
Under which Lecturer Baljinder Singh and Assistant Sweep Nodal Officer Varinder Singh and their team went to the said places and made people aware about the elections and the people rose above caste and religion without any fear, greed, caste and religion. An appeal was made to select eligible candidates.
Meanwhile, the selfie point and signature campaign remained the center of attraction.
