Batala, January 28 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): S. Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, MLA from Batala constituency and Working President of the Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has continued its efforts to provide government jobs to eligible candidates on the basis of merit. So far, more than 50,000 government jobs have been provided to the youth of the state.
MLA Sherry Kalsi further shared that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has decided to create 10,000 new posts in Punjab Police, for which a notification has already been issued.
He added that to enhance the efficiency of the police department, the state government has already decided to recruit 1,800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors every year in Punjab Police to address the shortage of police personnel. He mentioned that nearly 2.50 lakh youths work hard every year in the hope of being recruited for these 2,100 posts.
He further stated that the Punjab government has created employment opportunities for the youth in almost every department in a transparent manner, which has helped engage the youth actively in the socio-economic development of the state. He said that the Punjab government has been undertaking development works in the interest of all sections of society and, within its tenure of almost three-quarters of a year, has taken several historic decisions.
