Ludhiana, December 16, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): A 5-year-old innocent girl has died after being run over by a school bus. The incident occurred when a first-grade student was run over by a private school bus in Ludhiana.
The girl’s name is being reported as Amaira. The accident happened while she was getting off the bus at school. After the incident, the parents created a ruckus in front of the school. The school did not allow the parents to enter. According to reports, the major accident occurred this morning on Chandigarh Road, under the jurisdiction of Ludhiana’s Division Number 7, at B.C.M. School, when the school bus was dropping off students. Amaira, the only daughter of her parents and a first-grade student, was run over by the bus, leading to her death. Although she was taken to a nearby hospital, it was too late by then.
Meanwhile, the parents blamed the school management for the incident. They alleged that they were deliberately not informed, and when the parents reached the school, the staff did not open the gates for them.
A police officer who reached the scene stated that the accident occurred this morning. He mentioned that the incident took place as the child was getting off the bus inside the school premises. The girl was a first-grade student, and she was around six to seven years old.
