Delhi, December 6, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau)- At Shambhu Border, Haryana Police stopped farmers marching towards Delhi on foot. During the confrontation, police fired tear gas shells at the farmers.

The farmers and police faced off, with Haryana Police engaging in talks with farmer leaders. To prevent the farmers from advancing due to their anger, the police fired tear gas shells and stopped them from proceeding further. Earlier, a group of farmers had left Shambhu Border for Delhi, removing the first layer of barricades by cutting the wires and throwing them in the fields. It is noteworthy that Section 163 has been imposed in Ambala district.

Ambulances have been deployed, and wards have been set up in hospitals. Doctors’ leaves have been canceled, and some schools have been closed. The police have positioned a large number of police vehicles and roadways buses at the border.
