A big issue has come to light regarding the buses running from the bus stand in the metropolis. It is being told that buses with numbers of different states are being run outside the bus stand in violation of the law. The complainant alleged that they are neither paying the taxes of Punjab nor are they completing their paperwork. Not only this, buses run for UP, Bihar and nearby states carrying more than 100 passengers in a 52-seater bus. But the district transport is not paying any attention to this.
Some similar pictures were captured on camera near the bus stand at night, where more than 100 passengers were seen standing around a bus to get off. But when a video of this was made, the bus workers present there asked to turn off the camera. Regarding this matter, a person named Rajinder Singh has complained to the district administration that there is a problem in going there at night, secondly the government is losing revenue of lakhs of rupees.
The complainant said that more than 100 passengers are being seated in a 52-seater bus, which is inviting a major accident. When the District Transport Authority was contacted in this regard, they said that the media has brought it to their notice that they will definitely take action at these places. They said that if anyone lacks documents or other laws have been violated, action will be taken. Here it should be mentioned that the officials themselves do not take any action where the law is being violated, they only ask to wait for the complaint.
