This Diwali, Jio Studios, the entertainment division of Reliance Industries Limited, has launched back-to-back blockbusters. Along with Singham Again, the studio has also launched a new moving logo that reflects Jio Studios’ powerful, culturally resonant storytelling prowess.
Since its inception in 2018, Jio Studios has established itself as a leader in India’s rapidly growing entertainment industry, producing over 100 films and web series that are a reflection of both the depth and diversity of Indian culture. The year 2024 has been a period of unprecedented success for the studio, with critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Article 370, Shaitan and the record-breaking Stree 2 performing exceptionally well in the Indian and international markets. The recently released Singham Again has emerged as the second-highest opening film of the year and Missing Ladies has been selected as India’s official Oscar entry. Jio Studios has a 100% success rate in 2024, topped by its strong foothold as a market leader and powerful studio in Indian entertainment.
Talking about the new moving logo of Jio Studios, the animation sequence begins with a spark of energy emerging from a ball to reveal Jio, a plethora of golden particles that generate ideas, then ignites into richly embroidered mandala designs that symbolize the universe and further into the mandala, the moving wheel, depicting Indian languages and music, forming a golden lotus, a timeless Indian symbol of purity, resilience and renewal and associated with Brahma, the creator of the universe. This lotus further opens up in its full glory with all the elements and Jio at its center, with the Jio Studios logo taking birth at the final climax with the sound of a sitar. With every intricate detail, the new logo of Jio Studios reflects its vision of “Make in India, Show to the World”. It is eternally beautiful and ethereal with just two colors black and gold till the end. The music for the motion logo was carefully composed to reflect the balance between Indian traditions and modern, global sensibility. Hence, the music features a jugalbandi of sitar and an 80 piece Western symphonic orchestra comprising a total of 81 musicians. With an unforgettable and quintessentially Indian signature tune featuring multiple Indian instruments, the moving logo reflects the essence of Jio Studios’ commitment to creativity and grandeur in storytelling while proudly embracing its Indianness.
Commenting on this milestone, Jyoti Deshpande, President, Media and Content Business, Reliance Industries, said, “2024 has been an incredible year for Jio Studios, with Stree 2 and Missing Ladies enjoying consistent box office success and critical acclaim. This moving logo is an emotion, it embodies our brand and our values, while it reflects our vision, and I am particularly pleased that our logo is a symbol and pride of our Indianness. Our new moving logo not only honours our rich heritage, but reflects our ambition to push boundaries with scale and innovation. New ideas and the truth of storytelling are the soul of Jio Studios, and this logo reflects our flexible journey beyond languages and genres to bring Indian stories, especially unforgettable experiences to audiences around the world.”
With this new logo, Jio Studios signals its ambition to further establish itself on the global stage, inviting audiences across the world to be a part of a journey that celebrates its heritage and bold future.
