Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while starting the election campaign in favour of AAP candidates for the by-elections, said that now his next mission is to give Rs 1100 per month to women. He was addressing election rallies in favour of party candidates in the elections of Chabbewal and Dera Baba Nanak assembly seats today. Addressing the women present in the election meeting, the Chief Minister said that in the next few days a historic decision will be taken to give Rs 1100 per month to women. The Chief Minister said that a few days ago we had passed a historic law in the assembly under which now girls will also be able to join the fire brigade. Attacking the Congress, Mann said that they fight for the chair, we fight for the better future of your children. We have given free electricity to the people of Punjab. We are building good schools and hospitals.
The government has purchased the Goindwal Sahib Thermal Plant. To reduce road deaths, we have created a ‘Road Safety Force’ and provided it with vehicles with the latest facilities. This has reduced road accident deaths by 45% in the last 6 months. We have given government jobs to more than 45,000 youth in the last two and a half years. On the abolition of NOC in registries, the Chief Minister said that to solve the problems of the people of Punjab, our government passed a law in the Assembly and has abolished the provision of issuing NOC from registries, while the Congress-Akali government built illegal colonies in connivance with the builders. Mann said that the AAP government was able to do so much in Delhi and Punjab because our and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s intentions are clear. Therefore, like Delhi, here too we have opened Aam Aadmi Clinics and School of Eminence.
He said that we are not in politics to earn money. We do not want any share in Dhabas, sand and buses. We want to be a part of the happiness and sorrow of 3.5 crore Punjabis. Attacking Akali Dal Badal, Mann said that those who talked about ruling for 25 years could not even find four candidates today. For political gains, they did not even spare Gurbani and Baba Nanak. The Chief Minister said that Akali Dal people are calling Sukhbir Badal a General, but he says what battle Sukhbir Badal has fought. Sukhbir has recently ruined the condition of Punjab. He has harmed both Punjab and Akali Dal. If Akali Dal had contested the elections without Sukhbir Badal, it would have got more votes. In both the election rallies, the Chief Minister announced to make the party candidates Ishank Chabbewal and Gurmeet Singh Randhawa win and said that this will accelerate the development work.
