Mumbai Police, which is investigating the case of sending threatening messages to Salman Khan, has arrested a person from Jamshedpur. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Jamshedpur vegetable seller Sheikh Hussain Sheikh Mausin (24). Last week, a threatening message demanding extortion of Rs 5 crore from the actor was received on the WhatsApp helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police, after which the police registered a case and started investigation.
A police officer said that the police traced that number in Jharkhand and teams were sent to catch the accused. He said that another team was also sent to Guwahati. Officials said on Tuesday that the police started their investigation to trace the sender of the message, but Mumbai Traffic Police has received an “apology” message from the same mobile phone number.
