Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said on Wednesday that the ‘India’ alliance candidates will contest on his party’s election symbol ‘cycle’ in all 9 seats in the assembly by-elections to be held on November 13. Yadav said that Congress and SP are united and the ‘India’ alliance will write a new chapter of victory in the by-elections. Samajwadi Party president and former Chief Minister Yadav announced this by posting on the social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday night.
According to the information received, he said that ‘it is not about seats but about victory’ and under this strategy, the joint candidates of ‘India’ alliance will contest on all 9 seats on the Samajwadi Party’s election symbol ‘cycle’. He said that Congress and Samajwadi Party are standing united, shoulder to shoulder for a big victory. ‘India’ alliance is going to write a new chapter of victory in this by-election. He said that the power of Samajwadi Party has increased manifold with the coming together of the top leadership of Congress party and the workers at booth level. Yadav said that with this unprecedented cooperation and support, every worker of ‘India’ alliance on all nine assembly seats has been filled with new energy with the resolve to win.
The SP chief said that this is an election to save the country’s constitution, harmony and the honour of the PDA (backward Dalit minority). That is why we appeal to everyone: not even a single vote should be reduced, not even a single vote should be divided. The SP leader said that this unity and solidarity filled with harmony of the ‘India’ alliance in the interest of the country will write a new history today and tomorrow as well. By-elections are to be held on November 13 on nine seats in the state, while the counting of votes will take place on November 23. The assembly seats on which by-elections are to be held include Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Mirapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhawan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur city), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and Kundarki (Moradabad).
