Ludhiana, February 22 (Punjab khabarnama) : Under CSR initiative, the Vardhman Special Steels Limited will develop 4 acres of Miyawaki forest in Focal Point Ludhiana in association with Municipal Corporation Ludhiana on its land.
Sandeep RIshi, Commissioner Municipal corporation today handed over an approval letter for development of this site to Amit Dhawan, Senior Manager CSR & Admn.
Dhawan stated that Vardhman Special Steels limited has already developed three forests in seven acres in Ludhiana and ahead shall be developing miyawaki forest in Ludhiana focal point and Amritsar and Zirakpur also as part of commitment done by its Vice Chairman Sachit Jain and Executive Director Soumya Jain and R K Rewari. He said that these forests were being developed with the help of experts and nearly 53 varieties of plants are planted in such forests with 10,000 trees per acre. Dhawan thanked government and Commissioner MC for helping them to develop such forest for environment sustainability.
