Punjab Government Launches “CM Di Yogshala” Initiative to Combat Mental Stress Through Free Yoga Classes

The Government of Punjab has launched the “CM Di Yogshala” initiative, focusing on the well-being of its citizens by promoting yoga throughout the state. This government-led program is a significant step toward fostering a healthier, progressive, and happier Punjab, with yoga sessions being conducted in all districts, blocks, and villages.

Certified yoga instructors, appointed by the government, are offering daily free classes to improve both physical fitness and mental relaxation. The initiative aims to address growing mental health concerns, including stress, anxiety, and depression, by emphasising mindfulness and the therapeutic benefits of yoga. With rising pressures from work, studies, and personal life, the Punjab Government’s focus on yoga as a solution is timely and impactful.

To encourage widespread participation, the government has made it easy for residents to register for yoga sessions through official channels. A toll-free number (76694-00500) and a website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in have been set up to facilitate registration. Additionally, groups of 25 or more can request a government-certified instructor to conduct yoga classes at a convenient location, including their homes.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader mission to promote the health and well-being of its people, ensuring yoga becomes an accessible and integral part of daily life across Punjab. The “CM Di Yogshala” program has received widespread public support, bringing health-focused initiatives directly to the people.
