The last encounter between India and Germany occurred in the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics, where the European powerhouse triumphed 3-2. India secured a bronze medal by defeating Spain in the playoff for third place at the Olympics.
Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey stated, “This series against Germany will showcase world-class hockey.
