9 september 2024 : According to a report from Informa Connect Academy, Elon Musk is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027. His wealth has been increasing at an average annual rate of 110%. Currently, Musk is the richest person globally with a net worth of $237 billion, as per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
A few companies have individually reached a $1 trillion valuation, including Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Saudi Aramco, and Meta. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway joined this elite group in late August, and Nvidia also reached $3 trillion in June 2023, making it the second most valuable company after Microsoft.
The report suggests Gautam Adani could follow Musk, potentially achieving trillionaire status by 2028 if his wealth continues to grow at 123% annually. Others who could become trillionaires by 2028 include Nvidia’s Jensen Huang and Indonesian mogul Prajogo Pangestu.
Bernard Arnault of LVMH, the third-richest person with a net worth of $181 billion, and Mark Zuckerberg of Meta might reach trillionaire status by 2030.
The race to become the world’s first trillionaire has intrigued people since John D. Rockefeller of Standard Oil became the first billionaire in 1916.
