15 august 2024 : Lubna Raihana, a fourth-grade student at the aided Jinarajadas Lower Primary School located in the coastal village of Marad in Kerala’s Kozhikode district, has experienced a particularly hectic week. During each school break this past week, she and her peers would swiftly consume their meals before rushing back to the classroom to undertake an important task: diligently and carefully transcribing notes for the first semester into new notebooks.
These notes, created with the assistance of their teachers, were intended for the 138 lower primary students from two government schools situated in Mundakkai and Chooralmala — the two villages that suffered the most from the landslide that occurred last month.
