18 July 2024 Punjab Khabarnama : The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bought net $4.222 billion in the spot foreign exchange market in May, according to the central bank’s latest monthly Bulletin released on July 18.

The central bank in the bulletin said it purchased $23.647 billion worth of foreign exchange and sold $19.425 billion during the period. In April, the central bank had sold a net of $3.647 billion in the spot market.

The RBI Bulletin is a monthly publication that offers insights into the developments in domestic and global economies but doesn’t represent the views of the central bank.
