7 January 2026 Punjab Khabarnama Bureau : The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has disclosed the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) response to concerns it raised ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, particularly around player safety, security arrangements, and logistical preparedness. BCB officials confirmed that the ICC has acknowledged the issues and assured member boards that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a smooth and secure tournament.
According to the BCB, the ICC has emphasized its close coordination with the host nations, local governments, and security agencies to address risks related to travel, accommodation, and match venues. The global body reportedly reassured Bangladesh that contingency plans are in place should unforeseen situations arise, including adjustments to schedules or venues if required.
The concerns were raised amid heightened sensitivity around international travel, regional security dynamics, and player welfare. Bangladesh had earlier indicated that it would closely monitor the situation before making final decisions related to team movement and preparation camps.
