Fazilka, 18 July 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau) : On the occasion of Independence Day, a district-level event will be held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Multi-purpose Stadium in Fazilka. To prepare for this event, a meeting was held today under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu (IAS). During the meeting, she stated that the event will be celebrated with patriotic spirit and great enthusiasm.
She directed that all departments should begin preparations immediately and ensure everything is completed on time. She added that the police department will handle all security and parking arrangements, while the health department will deploy a medical team.
The Municipal Council has been instructed to manage cleanliness and fire safety. She also informed that a cultural program will be organized, for which a separate committee has been formed. In addition, duties have been assigned to various departments for arrangements such as drinking water and other essentials.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr. Subhash Chander, SDMs Veerpal Kaur and Kanwarjit Singh Mann, District Education Officers Ajay Sharma and Satish Kumar, and Executive Officer of the Municipal Council Gurdas Singh.
