Ferozepur, 16 July 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau) : In a major move to facilitate the public, the Punjab Government has made 5 services related to the Revenue Department and 30 services related to Driving Licenses and RCs (Registration Certificates) under the Transport Department available at Sewa Kendras.
Providing this information, Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government has taken a major step to ease access to services for Punjab residents. These now include:
Revenue Department Services at Sewa Kendras:
- Registration of deeds
- Preparation of deed drafts
- Submission of deeds for prior verification
- Payment of stamp duty
- Mutation applications (based on inheritance or registered deeds), including:
- Entry of court orders, mortgage documents related to bank loans
- Applications for correction in records
- Digitally signed Fard (land record) requests
Transport Department – 30 Services Now Available:
16 Services Related to Driving Licenses:
- New Learner’s License application
- Address change on learner’s license
- Name correction
- Duplicate learner’s license
- Duplicate driving license
- Renewal of driving license (where test track is not needed)
- Replacement of driving license
- Address change on license
- Name change on license
- Correction of date of birth
- Issuance of driving license extract
- License surrender
- Public service vehicle badge
- Conductor license renewal
- Extension of learner license validity
- International Driving Permit
14 Services Related to RC (Registration Certificate):
- Duplicate RC
- Ownership transfer of non-commercial vehicle
- Continuation of hire purchase (in case of ownership/name change)
- Endorsement of hire purchase agreement
- Fitness certificate for commercial vehicles (heavy/medium/three-wheeler/four-wheeler/LMV)
- Payment of additional lifetime tax (in case of ownership change)
- Viewing RC details
- Issuance of NOC for RC
- Mobile number update in transport records
- Address change in RC
- Vehicle modification
- Termination of hire purchase agreement
Doorstep Delivery Option:
Citizens who cannot visit Sewa Kendras in person can also avail these services via doorstep delivery by calling the helpline number 1076.
This initiative ensures hassle-free access to essential transport and revenue-related services, bringing the administration closer to the people.
