Nangal, 16 June 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Impressed by the wave of development being driven by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, as well as its pro-people and welfare-oriented schemes for protecting the rights and interests of the common people, a large number of public representatives, elected members, and development-focused citizens of Punjab are joining the Aam Aadmi Party.
This was stated by Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister for Education and Department of Information and Public Relations, Punjab, on the occasion of the joining of the Sarpanch and Panchayat members of village Chonal in his constituency, Nangal, into the Aam Aadmi Party. He said the people of Punjab have already witnessed the rule of traditional political parties, who merely aimed to govern Punjabis while surrendering their rights to the central government and other states.
Now, influenced by the development in Punjab and resolution of public issues, every section of society is leaning towards the Aam Aadmi Party. Three years ago, the people gave a historic mandate to the party.
He further stated that the current government is ensuring inclusive development without any discrimination. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken major steps to conserve water—providing canal water for irrigation, clean water supply to homes, uninterrupted power for farmers and commercial institutions, 600 units of free electricity for domestic users, free quality healthcare, and better education for teachers and students as part of an educational revolution. The government is promoting balanced development in both rural and urban areas.
On this occasion, Sarpanch Gurdial Singh Donal, Panch Gagandeep Singh Donal, Panch Sawaran Chand Donal, and Panch Kirna Devi Donal said they were inspired by Bhagwant Mann’s governance, the state’s policies, and Harjot Singh Bains’ humble, unbiased working style, which led them to support the Aam Aadmi Party.
Also present on the occasion were Principal Ram Gopal, Booth In-charge Fauji Sham Lal, Vipin Donal, Gagan Donal, Gulzar Singh Donal, Sarpanch Bhagwant Atwal, Sarpanch Sumit Bhardwaj, Education Coordinator Daya Singh, Sumit Talwara, Karan Saini (Fauji), Raj Sharma, and other prominent personalities.
Summary:
Moved by the Bhagwant Mann government’s welfare-oriented initiatives, Donal Panchayat has officially declared its support for the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab.
