Fazilka, 16 June 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Amarpreeet Kaur Sandhu, an important meeting was held regarding development works in the Fazilka border area. The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr. Mandeep Kaur.

Present at the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr. Subhash Chandra, SDM Fazilka Mr. Krishna Pal, SDM Jalalabad Kanwarjeet Singh, BDPO Fazilka Antarpreet Singh, and officials from the Border Security Force (BSF).

During the meeting, Dr. Mandeep Kaur reviewed various ongoing and upcoming development works in the border villages, such as the construction of bunkers, shelters, solar lights, repair and new construction of roads, and discussed facilities like ambulances, fire services, and JCB machines.

The departmental officials also shared updates and proposals regarding the repair of the Mojam to Teja Rohela road through the Mandi Board, as well as plans for community and mobile toilets in villages near the border, and power supply-related infrastructure. Discussions were held with relevant departments to submit proposals and estimates promptly so that funds can be requested as per the requirements.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner issued strict instructions to the concerned departments, stating that all development works in the border area must be carried out smoothly and successfully without any negligence. She emphasized that all officers should complete their departmental responsibilities promptly and submit proposals and estimates for the upcoming work without delay.

Also present on the occasion were Dr. Eric from the Health Department, Deputy Executive Engineer Harjinder Singh, and various Executive Engineers (XENs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) from different departments.
