Moga, April 3, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): A three-day training program was organized for Anganwadi workers of Block Moga-2 under the “Nutrition and Education Together” campaign. As per the guidelines of the Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Punjab, and Mrs. Anupriya Singh, District Program Officer, Moga, the training was conducted in two groups from March 24 to March 29, 2025, at the meeting hall of the Agriculture Department, with each group undergoing a three-day training session under the “Nutrition and Education Together” scheme.
Regarding this, Child Development Project Officer Mrs. Anju Singla stated that under the National Education Policy 2020, it has been ensured that by the year 2030, children aged 0 to 6 years will be provided with high-quality early childhood care and education. This education aims to transform Anganwadi centers into learning and education centers. Keeping this objective in mind, under the “Saksham Anganwadi Centers” and “Poshan 2.0” scheme, Anganwadi workers of the block received training to enhance their skills, including holistic child development and the inclusion of children with disabilities.
In the first batch of this program, 56 Anganwadi workers received training, while 57 Anganwadi workers were trained in the second batch.
She urged the general public to take full advantage of their nearest Anganwadi center and the “Poshan 2.0” scheme for the holistic development of children aged 0 to 3 years.
Supervisors Surinder Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Komal Bansal, Harmeet Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, and Block Coordinators Harpreet Singh, Bikram, and Rupinder Singh participated in this training program.
