Chandigarh, 28 March 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau):– Haryana Chief Minister Mr Naib Singh Saini thanked all the members for their constructive suggestions during the budget session and said that this has probably been the longest budget session in the history of Haryana. A total of 13 meetings were held in this 12-day budget session and 60 hours of constructive discussions were held by the members.
The Chief Minister was addressing the journalists in the Assembly premises today after the conclusion of the budget session.
He said that on March 17, he presented his first budget as the Finance Minister. These budget proposals were deliberated upon by the members in the House for 8 hours and 26 minutes in which 23 members from the opposition spoke for 4 hours and 36 minutes. Similarly, 21 MLAs from the ruling party spoke for 3 hours and 35 minutes. Along with this, two independent MLAs also expressed their views on the budget for 15 minutes.
The Chief Minister said that during the budget session, the attention motions given by various MLAs on important subjects were accepted by the Assembly Speaker and a total of 10 attention motions were discussed. Apart from this , 16 important bills introduced for the welfare of the people of Haryana state were discussed and passed. He said that every penny of the budget amounting to Rs 205017 crore will be spent for the welfare of the people of Haryana state.
The Chief Minister thanked the Speaker of the Assembly and said that the Speaker gave all the members the opportunity to speak freely due to which all aspects of the budget were discussed positively. He said that only 20 questions are notified during the Question Hour and many times it happened that all 20 questions were answered by the government while discussing them.
In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that all the suggestions given by the opposition during the discussion were noted , whether it was about the bill , the Governor’s address or the budget. Every question raised by them was answered by the government.
In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that on March 31, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah will inaugurate a big block in Maharaja Agrasen Medical College Agroha Hisar. He said that not only Haryana but people of Rajasthan and Punjab are also benefiting from this medical college.
Apart from this, on the auspicious occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, the country’s successful Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will gift two big projects to the people of Haryana on April 14, which includes the inauguration of one project and the foundation stone laying of another. He informed that many other big projects are also ready whose administrative approval is still pending, which include Kalpana Chawla Medical University in Kutel , elevated railway track in Kurukshetra , Pandit Nekiram Sharma Medical College in Bhiwani , airport and martyr memorial in Ambala etc. After getting their administrative approval, these will soon be dedicated to the public.
Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi , Director General of Information Public Relations and Language Department Mr. K Makarand Pandurang and Media Secretary Mr. Praveen Atrey were also present on the occasion.
