Fazilka, March 27 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Under the directions of the Hon’ble National Legal Services Authority and the Hon’ble Member Secretary of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, as well as in compliance with the instructions of Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka, Shri Avtar Singh, an SML Van was flagged off today, March 27, 2025, by Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge Shri Avtar Singh to visit villages and raise awareness about free legal aid, legal services, and the schemes of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

Providing details, Madam Ruchi Swapna Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Fazilka, stated that legal awareness seminars are being conducted in 66 villages across the district through the SML Van. These seminars will be led by para-legal volunteers, and promotional material regarding the schemes under the Legal Services Authority Act will also be distributed.

Over the next 15 days, legal literacy seminars will be held in 66 villages of Fazilka district through the SML Van, educating the public on free legal aid, NALSA schemes, mediation benefits, Lok Adalats, and the Punjab Victim Compensation Scheme.
