17 march 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): After the removal of NSA from the companions of independent MP from Khadoor Sahib, Amritpal, efforts to bring them to Punjab have intensified. It is being told that a team of Punjab Police has reached Dibrugarh Jail, from where they will be brought to Punjab. According to the information, Punjab Police is bringing two companions of Amritpal to Amritsar tomorrow. After Punjab Police got the transit remand of Amritpal’s two companions Pradhan Mantri Bajeke and Gurmeet Singh, both have been handed over to Punjab Police. At the same time, efforts are on to get transit remand for the other 5 companions as well.
According to the information, Amritpal, Pappalpreet and Varinder Vicky will have to stay in Dibrugarh jail as their NSA hearing is to be held in the court on March 22, after which the government will take further decision. Let us tell you that Punjab Police is taking all these accused on transit remand for interrogation related to the attack on Ajnala police station in 2023 so that they can be brought to Punjab for interrogation.
