Chandigarh 5 march 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): A major action has been taken by the Punjab government against revenue officials. It is being reported that the Punjab government has suspended 5 Tehsildars and 9 Naib Tehsildars in the state. According to the information, 6 Naib Tehsildars from Moga district have been suspended, while the other Tehsildars are from different districts. This way, the Punjab government has taken significant action against 14 officers, including 3 from Moga and Muktsar Sahib. The action was taken for failing to prepare sales deed documents.
It is worth mentioning that CM Mann had warned the Tehsildars to join their duties by 5 PM today. CM Mann had clearly stated that they must immediately resume their duties, otherwise, strict action would be taken. He also said that he could not bear to see the public of Punjab suffer in this manner. Afterward, CM Mann appointed other officials in place of the Tehsildars and started the registry work.
