He will reach Hoshiarpur on Tuesday and participate in a 10-day Vipassana session there. He had attended a 10-day Vipassana course at Dhamma Dhaja Vipassana Centre in December 2023 as well.
Locals protest poor sanitary conditions
Maur Mandi: Irked over poor sewerage in the area, residents and traders of the Maur Mandi on Monday observed protest by shutting down all business establishments. The protesters, including Congress leaders, members of the arhtiya association, farmer unions and pesticide union, held a protest in the affected area. TNS
Fazilka wetlands to see development
Fazilka: The panchayats of eight out of total 14 wetlands in the district have given their consent for undertaking development works in those areas. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur said the wetland areas on the list included Raipura, Khubban, Narayanpura, Churi Wala Dhanna, Saidan Wali, Danewala Satkosi, Rajpura and Jamalgarh. TNS
