Chandigarh February 3 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): The weather in North India has started to change once again. The Meteorological Department has predicted that rain will occur on Monday in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and other northern states of India. A fresh western disturbance is forming on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, which will affect Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of northern India. After a few days of heat, cold weather has returned to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan.

This week, the weather is expected to be pleasant in Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi. The cold in the mornings and evenings will be bothersome, while the strong sun during the day will provide relief. The Meteorological Department has said that there has been a drop in the minimum temperature in Delhi, indicating the impact of the cold. According to the department’s bulletin, rain is expected in northern India, including Delhi, due to the western disturbance, along with dense fog in the morning and evening.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that due to the impact of the western disturbance, heavy snowfall is occurring in the mountains. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in Punjab and Haryana. The weather may deteriorate from this evening, with rain and strong winds expected.

The department has issued an update regarding the rain. Due to the impact of the western disturbance on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, light rain is expected in Jammu & Kashmir, and Punjab-Haryana. Rain and snowfall are also expected in the mountains. There is also a chance of light rain in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam. During the winter season, some divisions of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala may experience rain.

According to the IMD, the cold wave will continue in northern India for the next few days. Due to the western disturbance, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas, which could further lower the temperature. Rain is also likely in northeastern states, including Assam.
