Annual Training

Rupnagar, January 29 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): The 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC, Chandigarh successfully completed the 10-day Joint Annual Training Camp-180 held at the National Cadet Corps Academy, Rupnagar.

During this camp, the cadets were trained in physical fitness, drill, weapon handling, firing, map reading, field craft, and combat skills. In addition, there were lectures on fire-fighting by the Rupnagar Fire Brigade, awareness on HIV and AIDS by the District Hospital Rupnagar, road accidents and traffic discipline by the Traffic Police Rupnagar, and talks on health, nutrition, organic living, and wellness by Health Coach Mrs. Kiranjit Kaur Jandu from Chandigarh.

As part of the physical training, various sports competitions were held during the camp, including lemon spoon race, sack race, three-legged race, musical chairs, and a 100-meter race.

The cadets participated in these activities with great enthusiasm. The cadets who took part in the camp were honored with medals. The Commanding Officer of the 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC, Colonel Paramjit Singh VSM, congratulated the cadets and encouraged them to perform even better in the future. The camp concluded with a speech and a cultural evening.
