Delhi, January 23, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Months after remaining out of political limelight, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s wife Gurpreet Kaur Mann has once again become active in AAP politics.
For the past nearly a week, she has been campaigning for AAP candidates in the Delhi Assembly poll fray. Moving from one constituency to another, she has been exhorting electors to vote for the party. “The CM’s wife has a tight campaign schedule. She covers six-seven segments every day. She has been camping in Delhi after Lohri,” said Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann, who is also in Delhi to campaign for the party.
Gurpreet campaigned in the Hari Nagar constituency along with Kharar legislator Anmol Gagan Mann. She has already covered Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, Krishna Nagar and Timarpur segments, addressing the gatherings along with the respective party candidates.
Even the party leaders are surprised over her sudden appearance on political scene. She was last seen actively working for the party in July last year when Bhagwant Mann’s entire family, including his mother and sister, campaigned for the Jalandhar West Assembly bypoll. At that time, Gurpreet stayed in Jalandhar for nearly three weeks, with her mother and mother-in-law taking care of her daughter Niyamat.
“Even now, Niyamat’s grandmothers are taking care of her as the Chief Minister’s wife is working full time in Delhi,” said a party insider.
