Delhi, January 19, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): A 19-year-old woman tourist was killed after she crashed and fell into a deep gorge while paragliding in Dharamsala on Saturday. The pilot of the paraglider was also injured. He suffered minor injuries and is undergoing treatment, SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said.

Bhaveshwar Khushi, a resident of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, crashed to death, and her instructor Munish Kumar, a resident of Dharamsala’s Tau Chohla, suffered injuries at Indrunag site on Saturday around 5 pm, the official said.

An investigation is being conducted by the team of Dharamsala Police Station in this regard.

As per the complaint, the paraglider crashed as it could not take-off properly, she said.

The woman tourist and the instructor were taken to the Zonal Hospital Dharamsala where the tourist was declared dead by the doctors, while the instructor is undergoing treatment.

The woman tourist had come to visit Dharamsala with her family.

Due to the paraglider crash, big questions have risen as to why the flight was being conducted in the evening. It is worth noting that many adventure sports accidents have come to the fore recently causing death to another individual in Dharamsala. Apart from this, instructors have also been injured many times due to paraglider crashes.
