Chandigarh, January 14, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): In Punjab, all police personnel’s leaves have been canceled until January 27. This decision has been taken in view of Republic Day preparations.
The order has been issued by Punjab’s DGP, Gaurav Yadav. According to the instructions, no police personnel in Punjab will be granted leave until January 27. This has been confirmed by Punjab Police’s IG Headquarters, Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill.
He stated that these orders have been issued to ensure tight security arrangements ahead of Republic Day on January 26. He further mentioned that no police personnel in the state would be granted leave until January 27. He assured that Punjab Police would remain vigilant 24/7 across the state for the safety of the people.
