Chandigarh, January 9, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Action films are quite popular, and making them requires intense effort not only from filmmakers but also from the actors. Stunts, action, and fight scenes that attract audiences to the screen require a lot of preparation. The film Animal, released at the end of 2023, was considered a violent film. Some people praised it, while others did not enjoy the intense action scenes. But did you know that in 2024, a film was released that is being described as even more dangerous than Animal? Fans are stunned by the action in this film. A total of 300 liters of blood were used in its making. Let’s find out which film this is!
This film is none other than Marko, which was made with a budget of around ₹30 crore. Released in December 2024, the film stars superstar Unni Mukundan in the lead role. Some people are praising the action of the film, while others are calling it the bloodiest film in the country. To make this ₹30 crore film, the makers needed 300 liters of blood.
Unni Mukundan, the lead actor of Marko, recently made a new revelation about this while talking to India Today. According to him, 300 liters of blood were used during the shooting. However, it was not real blood but was made from chemicals.
Unni Mukundan revealed that a large amount of sugar was used in the film, and jokingly mentioned that people with diabetes wouldn’t be able to be part of it. He also shared that during some emotional scenes, his eyes appeared unusually red, which was due to chemicals being applied to make his eyes look redder.
The chemicals used for his eyes became sticky due to temperature changes, causing trouble when the weather shifted. Later, when he consulted doctors, they warned him that such chemicals shouldn’t be used on the eyes, as it could cause permanent damage.
The film Marko was released on December 20, 2024, and despite the storm created by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, it succeeded in earning a lot of revenue thanks to its action and dialogues. It has already grossed over ₹90 crore and is aiming for the ₹100 crore club. The film features several actors like Siddique, Jagdish, and Kabir Duhan Singh.
Directed by Hanif Adeni, Marko is a spin-off of the 2019 Malayalam film Mikhaleel. The Telugu and Tamil versions were released on January 1 and 3, respectively.
Summary: Marko, a violent action film starring Unni Mukundan, used 300 liters of artificial blood. Released in December 2024, it earned over ₹90 crore globally.
