Moga, 3rd January: The Additional District Magistrate- cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner, Moga, Charumita, announced restrictions under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code, 2023 and Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (1973). These orders will remain in effect until 28th February, 2025.
Key restrictions include:
- No entry for heavy vehicles in Moga’s main market from 8 AM to 8 PM.
- Ban on digging unlined wells without approval from the Executive Engineer, Punjab Water Supply, and Sewerage Board.
- Instructions for village and urban areas to install proper night watch security due to fears of theft and vandalism.
- A ban on fireworks causing noise between 10 PM and 6 AM, as per Supreme Court orders.
- Restrictions on loudspeakers and public address systems above certain decibel levels, and noise restrictions in residential areas.
Violations will result in action against the concerned parties.
