New Delhi, January 2, 2025 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Children are considered the heart and soul of a mother, yet sometimes tragic incidents like this occur that shake the heart of anyone who hears them. A similar incident took place in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. In the Shivganj area of Sirohi, a mother poisoned her one-and-a-half-year-old twin sons. She then ingested poison herself. In this tragic incident, both innocent children died first, followed by the death of their mother. It is being reported that the mother was distressed due to her children, which led her to take such an extreme step.
According to the police, this heart-wrenching incident occurred on Wednesday in the Shivganj police station area of Sirohi district. Yogenesh Chimpra’s wife, Rekha, was living with her mother. She was originally from Sewari in Pali district. Rekha had twin sons, Purvansh and Purvit, who were one-and-a-half years old. Her husband worked as a tailor in Maharashtra. On Wednesday afternoon, Rekha poisoned both of her sons and then consumed poison herself. As a result, all three died. This incident of murder and suicide shocked the entire area.
After the incident, when Rekha was admitted to the hospital, the police arrived and took her statements. In her statements, she mentioned that she had become very distressed due to her twin sons. As a result, she decided to kill them and commit suicide. To execute her plan, Rekha sent her mother out of the house on Wednesday afternoon. She then poisoned the children first and later consumed poison herself.
When Rekha’s mother returned from outside, she found all three unconscious in the house. Upon seeing this, the ground slipped from under her feet. She screamed, and people from the neighborhood gathered. The three were then rushed to Mahavir Hospital in Sumerpur, Pali district. After an examination, doctors declared both children dead and admitted Rekha. However, later in the evening, Rekha also passed away in the emergency ward.
