Chandigarh , December 26 – Haryana’s Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Rajesh Nagar, today raided the depot located at Uklana in Hisar district. This created panic among the officers and employees. Taking strict action on finding the wheat sacks wet, he ordered to register an FIR against the warehouse in-charge Food and Supply Inspector Vikas Kumar. He also ordered the suspension of District Food and Supply Officer Amit Kumar with immediate effect.
A government spokesperson said that today the Minister of State Mr. Rajesh Nagar arrived for a physical inspection of the depot located at Uklana. Upon investigation, he found that the sacks of wheat lying in the truck were wet. After this, when he went inside to inspect the warehouse, there too wet wheat mixed with water was stored in the wheat sacks. On this, the Minister of State spoke to the warehouse in-charge Food and Supply Inspector Vikas Kumar on the phone. When the inspector said that he was in Kurukshetra, the Minister Mr. Nagar asked him to send his ‘ current location ‘ on the phone . On this, Vikas Kumar could not send his location and reached the spot himself in ten minutes.
The Food and Supplies Minister immediately ordered to register an FIR against Food Inspector Vikas Kumar. Many other deficiencies were found in the warehouse. The State Minister had been receiving complaints about this depot for a long time. State Minister Shri Rajesh Nagar has ordered the suspension of District Food and Supplies Officer Amit Kumar.
