Chandigarh, December 20: Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Chief Minister and senior INLD leader Ch. Om Prakash Chautala. He stated that with the passing of Shri OP Chautala, a chapter in Haryana’s politics has come to an end. His absence will be hard to fill. His contributions to Haryana’s politics will always be remembered.
The Chief Minister said that Shri Chautala’s personality was a symbol of simplicity and struggle. He was a visionary leader who launched several schemes for rural development, education, and infrastructure improvement. His demise has deeply shocked not only his family but the entire state. The Chief Minister prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength and patience to his family in this difficult time.
It is noteworthy that Shri Chautala first became the Chief Minister of Haryana in 1989. He served as the state’s Chief Minister five times. Shri Chautala passed away at the age of 89 on Friday. He breathed his last in Gurugram.
