Phagwara , December 20, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Two persons, including an Australia-based NRI, Dilpreet Singh (28), and a driver Yuvraj Masih were killed, while Gurinder Kaur was critical injuries when the taxi they were traveling in rammed into a sugarcane loaded tractor-trolly near Sugar Mill Chowk on National Highways Phagwara late Thursday night.
Gurinder was taking to a local civil hospital for treatment. She was later shifted to DMC, Ludhiana, after her condition deteriorated. The two were coming to India and on their way to Ludhiana after landing at Amritsar Airport.
The tractor trolly driver ran from the spot. Investigating Officer Jatinder Singh said police have registered a case.
