Chandigarh, December 18, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau): Three persons were killed and one was seriously injured in a car-truck collision near Ladda village, about 7 km from here, on Monday night. Two persons were killed on the spot, while one died at a private hospital in Patiala.
The truck driver managed to flee from the spot after the incident. The police have registered a case against the truck driver under Sections 106, 125-A, 281 and 324 (4) of the BNS at the Sadar police station, Dhuri.
SHO of the Dhuri Sadar police station Karamjit Singh said the car in which four youths were travelling collided with a truck near Ladda village on Monday night. Satgur Singh (20) of Kanjhla village and Jagseer Singh (20) of Hasanpur village died on the spot, while Amanjot Singh (26) of Kanjhla village died during treatment at a private hospital in Patiala. Injured Gursewak Singh of Hasanpur village is under treatment at a private hospital in Sangrur, he added.
The youths were reportedly going to Sangrur, while the truck was coming from the opposite site.
