Mumbai, December 13, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau) – The decline in the stock market in the morning has been halted. At the end of trading, the Sensex strengthened by 843 points to close at 82,133 while the Nifty rose by 219 points and closed at 24,768.

Out of 30 stocks of Sensex, 25 are up and 5 are down. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 32 are up and 18 are down. All sectors of NSE are trading with a decline. Realty sector has seen the maximum decline of 1.17%.

Mixed business for Asian markets
In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is down by 1.23% and Korea’s Kospi is up by 0.50%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a decline of 1.43%.
According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,560.01 crore on December 12. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) also bought shares worth ₹2,646.65 crore.
On December 12, the US Dow Jones closed down 0.53% at 43,914. The S&P 500 fell 0.54% to 6,051 and the Nasdaq fell 0.66% to close at 19,902.
The market closed with a decline yesterday
Earlier yesterday, on December 12, the Sensex closed at 81,289 with a fall of 236 points. Nifty also fell by 93 points and closed at 24,548.

Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 18 fell and 12 rose. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 35 fell. Energy, FMCG and auto stocks fell the most. Whereas IT and banking stocks saw a rise.
