Shimla, December 13, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau)- Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh will meet Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Shivraj Chauhan in Delhi today. He left for Delhi by road after the cabinet meeting on Thursday. He is also scheduled to meet the Vice President in Delhi. In Delhi, Vikramaditya Singh will thank Himachal for the budget received under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Apart from this, he will also request for approval of new projects for Himachal. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved funds for bridges and roads for the state. He will thank him for this and will request for approval of NH and other road projects pending in the Centre.
Apart from this, Vikramaditya Singh will present Himachal’s side to Union Minister Shivraj Chauhan regarding PMGSY-4. On the request of Himachal, PMGSY-4 includes inclusion of unpaved and incomplete roads of the first and second phase of PMGSY and making them concrete. There are about 850 kilometers of roads in many remote areas including tribal areas of the state which are unpaved. Apart from this, unpaved roads built under some other scheme have also been included in PMGSY-4. For this, he will thank Shivraj Chauhan and will also request to finalize the guidelines for this as soon as possible and send it to the state. Apart from this, Vikramaditya Singh has also sought time to meet the Vice President. If he gets time, he will also meet the Vice President.
