Hoshiarpur, December 11, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau)- A major fire broke on Monday night at Batra Electronics, a large electronics showroom in Hoshiarpur’s busiest market, causing extensive damage to goods worth crores of rupees. Prompt action by the fire brigade prevented the blaze from spreading further, averting a potential tragedy.
Pawan Kumar Saini, a fire brigade official, said the fire brigade received a distress call late at night reporting the blaze at Gulshan Batra’s Batra Electronics. Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control. Despite their efforts, a significant amount of stock in the showroom was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit, though investigations are ongoing.
