Chandigarh, December 2, 2024 (Punjab Khabarnama Bureau) – At the end of the year, consumer companies often adjust the prices of goods, and similarly, in Rajasthan, commercial gas cylinders have seen another price hike this December. Major oil and gas companies have raised the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder by ₹16.50. Based on the monthly review, oil and gas companies have increased the price of the commercial cylinders.
In November, companies raised the prices by ₹62, marking the 9th price revision this year. According to the LPG Distributors Association of Rajasthan, from today, commercial gas cylinders will be available for ₹1846 in the state.
From January to December 2024, oil and gas companies made 9 price adjustments (both increases and decreases) for commercial gas cylinders. In February, there was an increase of ₹13.50, followed by ₹26 in March, ₹31.50 in April, and ₹31.50 again. In May, the price decreased by ₹19, and in June, it increased by ₹69.50. The prices also saw increases in August, September, and October by ₹12, ₹39, and ₹48.50, respectively. Now, in the last month of the year, companies have increased the price by ₹16.50.
No Change in Domestic Cylinder Prices
This year, the highest fluctuations in prices were seen in commercial gas cylinders, while the prices of domestic cylinders have remained unchanged for a long time. In Rajasthan, the price of a domestic gas cylinder is ₹806.50. The state has over 1 crore 75 lakh 48 thousand consumers of three major oil and gas companies.
Highest Demand for Commercial Cylinders
The prices of commercial gas cylinders fluctuate based on consumer demand, consumption, and gas production. These cylinders are most commonly used for weddings, restaurants, hotels, dhabas, small shops, large events, and during festival seasons, leading to a higher demand compared to domestic cylinders. Typically, a commercial gas cylinder weighs 19 kg, which is larger than a standard household cylinder.
Summary : LPG gas cylinder prices have increased once more. The new price for a cylinder will now be higher, affecting consumers.
