The buzz surrounding Varun Dhawan’s Baby John has been electrifying ever since the first announcement and teaser. While fans are eagerly waiting for the movie, the excitement has now intensified. On Thursday, the makers of the film announced that they are all set to unveil the first song – “Nain Matakka”. Sung by Diljit Dosanjh, the song will be out on November 25.
Produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, ‘Nain Matakka’ promises to be the ultimate dance anthem. It’s the first time these two global sensations Diljit Dosanjh and Dheekshitha Venkadeshan, aka Dhee have collaborated for the song in the film which is penned by Irshad Kamil and the music is by S. Thaman.
‘Nain Matakka’ track is a foot-tapping, peppy number that showcases the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh. The magic of Diljit’s voice combined with an electrifying beat, is sure to elevate this song to instant hit status. On the other hand, Dhee will also surely add her magic like no other – she is one of the most streamed Australian singers and composers.
Baby John is a remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri. It stars Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Wamika Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav. Reportedly, Salman Khan will also make a special appearance in the film. “Since Salman is known for his action roles and swag, Atlee and Kalees have added some fight sequences featuring the superstar. He will be seen as a swashbuckling cop with some tongue-in-cheek dialogues,” a source quoted by Mid-Day claimed earlier this year. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
Presented by Jio Studios in association with Atlee and Cine1 Studios, Baby John is a production of A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios. Directed by Kalees, the film is set to hit theatres on December 25, 2024.
