Ravikumar. The film has been released in standard, 3D, and IMAX formats. While Tamil Nadu has its first show for the film at 9 am, early reviews from overseas have made their way to social media.

Kanguva Twitter Review

Suriya, portrays two roles in the film, one of a warrior and the other an undercover cop. The actor has received praise for his performances. One wrote, “#Kanguva over all Banger. Don’t reveal much… just a loud bgm. suriya performance…story… making and production value TOP NoTCH.”

Another social media user posted, “Suriya shines in dual roles: Francis (undercover cop) & ancient warrior. Goa meets ancient Tamil Nadu. Missing boy sparks thrilling investigation.”

A fan of Suriya posted “Get Suriyafied shared, “Siva made a very high mass elevation HERO INTRO SCENE for @Suriya_offl, more than he done for his previous stars (Ajith, Rajini)”

However, the film has also gained criticism due to its story. A user said the film is hard to sit through. The tweet read “#Kanguva is a below par fantasy action film that had a story with good potential but is executed in a clumsy way. Surya does well in his role and his efforts should be appreciated but it’s hard to save a script like this with just a performance. Director Siva holds the screenplay together partially in the first half but loses it in the second which makes it hard to sit through after a point”

Another user said the film lacked emotional connect “strictly avg or below avg experience for me. Outdated story line, weak writing, some scenes were visually good, lack of emotional connection, bgm was just too loud and too much screaming from the characters.Last special appearance was good,”

Kanguga’s early reviews display mixed reactions from film buffs, however fans of Suriya continue to be spellbound by the actor’s commitment and dedication to be a part of the action drama.
