According to a letter issued by the Punjab Mid-Day Meal Society, all district education officers (primary and secondary) have been directed to organize National De-warming Day in government and government-aided schools of their respective districts.

This campaign will run from 8 to 18 November as per the schedule laid down by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Punjab Government. Medicines will be distributed to students from class 1 to 12 to protect them from stomach worms. In the said letter, it has also been instructed that necessary arrangements for distribution of medicines should be made in all schools, so that no child is deprived of medicines.

Special care should be taken that no child is given medicine on an empty stomach, but only after eating food, so that there is no adverse effect on the health of the children. After the completion of this campaign, all the schools will have to submit a report to the headquarters and have also been instructed to fill health related data on the TRG site. Officials have been asked to ensure that these instructions are strictly followed.
